Established in 1996 as Singer/Songwriter Allan Aguirre's (Scaterd Few) artier outlet, Spy Glass Blue quickly made the transition from idea to national recording / touring reality.
Releasing an independent 12 song debut entitled "Shadows" the same year, then signing and re-releasing their debut on Pamplin/Organic by 1997 gave Spy Glass Blue the outlet they needed to bring their seamless blend of brit pop - edgy new wave - post punk psychedelia to the masses.
1996 - '97 saw Spy Glass Blue in Billboard and Rolling Stone magazines respectively and national tours making fans out of notables such as Starflyer 59, Violet Burning, Switchfoot and POD.
In 2002 Spy Glass Blue released "Loud As Feathers", their long awaited follow up to "Shadows". Described as "...thoroughly engaging and amazing" and "...certainly (to) be influencing new generations of bands the way Scaterd Few did over a decade ago" by one critic, "Loud As Feathers" re-established Spy Glass Blue as the uniquely relevant performers that they are.
2003 took SGB to over 90 cities nationwide including the CMJ Music Marathon. 2003 also saw the release of "The Blue EP", once again, on Accidental Sirens. Armed with a new release, 2004 looks even brighter and bolder.
